Second Saturday Fun at Every Stop


Visit the businesses listed below on January 9, 2016. Check out the offers and special treats they have just for you. Fill in a snowman card and be entered to win a $50 gift card from First Knox National Bank! Drawing at 5pm. Don't miss the fun at every stop.

Rules:
  • Pick up a snowman at a participating shop (listed above)
  • Visit 4 shops to fill in your snowman's features, make a purchase to get his carrot nose. 
  • Restaurants will give you a face or scarf with purchase
  • Drop your completed snowman off at participating locations for the drawing held at 5pm.
  • You must be 18 years of age or older to win a monetary prize.

First Friday at Kudos, Sept 4, 5-8pm, 15 N Main, Mt. Vernon, OH

Hello Friends of Kudos -

We look forward to seeing you at Kudos this First Friday.  Jewelry Artist Mary McGavick and wooden bowl maker Jim Eliopolus will be on hand to discuss and share their work with you.  Additionally, our two new artists' work will be on display -- the amazing seed bead jewelry of Pam Gray and Wendy Fetters' beautiful pastel paintings. 

I will be on hand as well.  Of course, we will have wonderful refreshments.  See you there!

FIRST FRIDAY AT KUDOS, 8/7/15





Hello Friends of Kudos -

Tonight from 5-8:30  is First Friday in Mt. Vernon.  Kudos and many other shops will be open.  There will be music on the square, food, and activities.

Kudos will be showcasing the work of soap maker, Jami Ingledue, and etched glass artist, Gail LaBenne.  Both Jami and Gail will be on hand to answer questions and discuss their wonderful work.

Kudos will also have the work of two new artists on display.  Wendy Fetters is our new painter.  She does lovely pastels.  Her landscapes are beautifully executed and well priced.  Pam Gray is our new seed bead jewelry artist.  She makes exquisite necklaces, necklaces with pouches, earrings, and bracelets.

Come join us for refreshments, conversation, and our wonderful art.

FIRST FRIDAY, MAY 1, 2015, KUDOS, 15 N MAIN, MT. VERNON, OH

Hello Kudos Friends -


It's hard to believe that it's First Friday time of year again.  Yet, this Friday, May 1,  is First Friday in Mt. Vernon.  There will be music and food vendors on the square and all kinds of activities downtown.


 Kudos would like to invite you to stop by and participate in our activities.  Gary Dreivelbis, our wonderful metal sculpturist, will be demonstrating his art.  Jami Ingledue, our amazing soapmaker will be singing and playing guitar.  There's a chance her musically talented daughter Leah will be joining her.  As usual, there will be yummy refreshments and beautiful art.


We will be open all day Friday, May 1,  from 10a to 5p and First Friday evening from 5p to 8:30 pm.

FIRST FRIDAY AT KUDOS, SEPTEMBER 5, 2014, 6-9PM, 15 N MAIN, MT VERNON, OH

Come join us for another First Friday at Kudos.  However, this isn't just another First Friday with wonderful snacks, wonderful art, and wonderful Kudos members waiting to welcome you.  No, it's all that and more!  This First Friday nine of Kudos amazing artists will set up tables on the street in front of Kudos where they will have samples of their art and will demonstrate and/or talk about their process.  The nine artists and their mediums are:  Jami Ingledue, soap; Bill Ernst, photography; Ken Shaffer, wood carving; Cindy Ruckman, fiber; Chris Aust, pottery; Elizabeth Hartley, stained glass; Gail LaBenne, etched glass; Linda Smith, pottery; and Mary McGavick, chainmail jewelry.

KUDOS NEWS

Kudos celebrated its 3rd Anniversary on March 1, 2014.
We have three wonderful new artists at Kudos.

Jim Eliopulos creates beautiful wooden bowls and vessels using local as well as exotic woods.  He started with Kudos March 1.  Jim received his Ph.D. from The Ohio State University and taught English at Bexley High School then communications at Ohio Wesleyan University.  Retired from teaching, Jim now devotes full time to bowl making.

Dee Organ, an accomplished artist, makes angels from stained glass and slices of semi-precious stone.  Kudos also has a collection of Dee's angel nightlights.  Dee has taught stained glass at several venues and currently teaches at the Knox County Career Center. 

Chris Bunn is an amazing watercolorist who joined Kudos April 1. Chris is well-known in Ohio for her wonderful work.  She taught high school art for many years at East Knox High School.  Her students always won high honors at the annual Ohio Governor's Art Show.
