First Friday, Sept 7, 5-8p

Hello Kudos Customers --

Another First Friday tomorrow night at Kudos, 10 S Main, Mt. Vernon, from 5-8pm (or later).  Looks like cooler temps and no rain which should bring out lots of our friends.

On the agenda tomorrow is art surrounding First Friday theme, Farm Friday.  Painters Wendy Fetters and Helen Neumann will be demonstrating the painting of a barn scene.  Other artists will have farm related art on display.  Of course, our beautiful non-farm related art will also be available for you to see.  Our soap maker/musician Jami Ingledue will be on hand to play and sing for you.  And, as usual, there will be yummy snacks.

We have two wonderful new artists.  Susan Kelmetti is an eco-friendly fiber artist.  Her fiber is dyed with nut, berries, seeds, bark -- all things found in nature.  She uses leaves, nuts, twigs, etc to print onto her beautiful naturally dyed fabrics.  Linda Gill makes lovely all 100% beeswax candles with 100% natural cotton wicks.  She uses no perfumes or colors in her candles of many shapes and sizes.  Stop in to see their amazing work.

Hello Kudos Customers -

Another First Friday has rolled around.  Kudos artists Helen Neumann, watercolorist, Ken Shaffer, wood carver and oil painter, and Linda Shaffer, fiber, will be on hand to greet you and talk with you about their art and Kudos.

Ken will be demonstrating bird carving.  He will sit up outside Kudos, weather permitting.  It is fascinating to watch Ken carve.

We'll have snacks on hand.  Come join the fun.

Ladies' Night Out, Friday, May 18, 5-8pm

Hello Kudos Customers  - Don't miss this Friday night, May 18, in Mt. Vernon.  It's Ladies' Night Out from 5-8pm.  Many downtown shops will be participating with food and drink, and activities while you have the opportunity to do some serious shopping.  A limousine will take you from the square to participating shops.   WHAT'S GOING ON AT KUDOS LADIES'  NIGHT OUT, THIS  FRIDAY NIGHT, MAY 18, 5-8pm Refreshments - Kudos will serve Savory Starters (as a compliment to Cricket’s Decadent Desserts) and sparkling wine.  Water color artist, Helen Neumann, will teach a make n take water color class of a flower still life.  The class will take about 30 minutes and will involve a step by step process. Students will pay $10 for this class.  Our soap maker, Jami Ingledue, will conduct a make n take of bath salts. Women can pick their own essential oil blend.  Cost $5.  Kudos' pastel artist, Wendy Fetters, will demonstrate her art of pastel painting. P.S. Don't forget the grand opening of The Makery, an amazing yarn and thread shop on the square and Black Walnut Holler, off the beaten path on West High Street but a wonderful shop. Kudos Mini Grand Opening

Kudos Mini Grand Opening at our new location, 10 S Main St, will take place 2nd Sat, April 14. Kudos will be open 11a-6p. Collect a fresh flower, listen to live music by Jami Ingledue, enjoy a snack, and, most importantly, see our beautiful art made by local artists, all for sale at reasonable prices.

Several local shops will also give out a fresh flower to each customer, so as you shop hop, you will be able to build a bouquet of beautiful spring flowers.

KUDOS IS MOVING!!!

GREAT NEWS!

Kudos will be moving to 10 S Main Street, right next door to the Grand Hotel.

We loved being on N Main Street for seven years, but we outgrew the space.  Thank you for being a part of our wonderful history at 15 N Main.

Our new location will have space for a classroom, so look for information on classes that will be offered by many of our talented artists

Our first day of business in our new digs will be Tuesday, April 3. See you then!!!

Meantime, at our original location, 15 N Main, during Second Saturday, March 10, stop by Kudos and make a beaded bracelet to take home with you.

Hello Customers - Please plan to stop by Kudos on Saturday, February 10, 10a-5p, to participate in some awesome Valentine's Day activities. Children and adults alike are invited to make a bracelet with the assistance of a Kudos artist. They can take the bracelet home with them as a gift to themselves or others for Valentine's Day.  (This is a free activity compliments of Kudos.) We will also have bagged, fresh, homemade heart cookies available.  Some of the bags will have a slip for a discount inside.
